Are you trying to setup a small office or home office (SOHO) local area network (LAN) but don t understand network fundamentals In this first course, you will be fully immersed in network terms, devices, and protocols. You will learn to configure a PC for network connectivity, make connections between devices, configure software protocols, assign network addresses, and use applications protocols including File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Instant Messaging (IM), and Domain Name Services (DNS). You will explore wireless technologies, study basic security concepts, and learn to troubleshoot and solve networking problems. You will achieve a thorough understanding of small networks through lecture, interactive online content, activities-based lab time, and online assessments.
