E-commerce is rapidly taking its place as a standard mode of doing business. Traditional, established firms as well as new business start-ups are creating E-Business web sites. Whether a firm is old or new this emerging business model is nearly a requirement for modern business. The purpose of this course is to familiarize the student with the basics of e-business. Major topics include the basis of the Internet, entrepreneurship, the creation of a business plan, financing, web site design, and e-business management.
