This class will help those who have experience in SQL and want to learn the unique and advanced features of Oracle SQL. In this class, you will learn SQL99 join techniques including cross joins, natural joins, full outer joins, enhanced group processing with rollup and cube, and the case expression. Plus, you will learn SQL functions for formatting, ascii codes, padding and trimming, string comparisons, phonetic searches, processing null values, and manipulating dates, times, and other numbers. You will learn to write efficient queries, improve query maintenance, and control query security by using data dictionary storage, creating indexes, using table comments, defining sequences, creating and using synonyms, setting user passwords, and granting and revoking privileges. You will control data integrity by using constraints such as not null, unique, check, primary key, and reference. Finally, you will create SQL*Plus reports and scripts. This course is the second in a two part series that will help those who are preparing to certify for the Oracle Developer Certified Associate (OCA) Exam 1Z0-001 or the Oracle 10g Certified Associate (OCA) database administrator Exam 1Z1-042 Oracle Database 10g: Administration 1.
