This course covers the material covered in Module 3 (Value Enhancement Strategies) and Module 4 (Purchasing Management) of the Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) Exam and prepares the individual for successfully completing these modules on the exam. Topics covered in Module 3 include: Sourcing analysis, "make or buy" decisions, material storage, Just in Time strategies and forecasting. Topics covered in Module 4 include: Administration of a purchasing department, preparing a department budget, supervising a purchasing and supply staff, evaluating performance and job training for competence. This class can accommodate seasoned professionals or newly appointed purchasing employees wishing to increase their knowledge.
