This course focuses on motor control circuit theory. Some hands-on laboratory training is provided. Course topics include contactors and motor starters, motor control devices including mechanical, solid-state, photoelectric, and proximity, accelerating and decelerating methods including variable frequency drives, ladder logic, programmable controllers, and motor preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
