RAD 208 - Radiographic Exposures II

This course provides a review of all factors affecting radiographic density. Utilizing a format of lecture demonstrations, all factors affecting radiographic contrast, recorded detail, distortion, and computed radiography will be covered. Emphasis will be given to special imaging techniques as well as digital imaging. Imaging systems will be evaluated relative to their speed, resolution, and reduction of patient dose. Students are encouraged to present "real life" situations and challenges related to exposure to the class for discussion and problem resolution. Prerequisite(s): RAD 108.
