This is the first of four semesters of Seatime. It is designed to introduce AMBO students to the basic activities of field and aquatic research, often while on a research vessel. Students will be taught introductory field sampling methods, including water quality techniques, basic navigation, biological sampling, and data acquisition and analysis. In addition, instructors will reinforce techniques learned in MS 101 such as knot tying, boat handling and seamanship. Corequisite(s): OCO 111 and MS 101.
