This course is designed to provide students with fundamental knowledge and skills of the Heavy Equipment Operations / construction industry. As a result of this course, students will acquire the knowledge to safely work on a heavy equipment construction site. Students will study various types and functions of heavy equipment, as well as how to perform a pre start safety inspection. Students will learn how to properly start up and shut down the equipment as well as the purpose and use of the operational controls. Students will complete this course with an introduction to construction site layout and grades. Prerequisite: HEO 100
