This seminar course will cover medical terminology and law in the practice of pharmacy. Students will be responsible for learning both state and federal laws that govern the practice of pharmacy in the state of Maine. Topics of discussion will include: liability, interpreting medication orders, drug information resources, compounding, medication errors, and institutional, ambulatory and home care pharmacy practice. Prerequisite(s): PHM 100.
