This course will provide students with the principles of cell responses to radiation. Factors which influence the effects of radiation, tissue sensitivity, cell biology, interaction of radiation with matter, total body and late effects of radiation, and environmental factors are discussed. In addition, radiation protection principles are discussed, including time, distance, and shielding. Prerequisite(s): RDT 202; RDT 208.
