This advanced course focuses on critical and analytical reading skills and vocabulary development that are necessary for content courses. Students will be asked to demonstrate an understanding of reading materials with a variety of comprehension exercises and writing assignments. Grammar is taught in the context of the readings and student generated writing. This course must be completed with a "C" grade or better in order to take college level courses. Prerequisite(s): A grade of "C" or better in all ESL Level II courses or ESL placement test.
