The goal of this course is to provide hands on experience in a pharmacy laboratory on the SMCC campus. Students will learn to interpret and fill prescriptions involving oral medications, intravenous therapy and the compounding of liquids, creams, ointments and suppositories. Near the end of the course students will be placed in a working environment that will augment their prior work experience and introduce them to a new work environment under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Prerequisite(s): PHM 100.
