This course is a continuation of the principles learned in CV 122. The CV student will learn more detailed applications for Doppler ultrasound, review disease pathologies such as cardiac tumors, ischemic heart disease, and diseases of the aorta and the determination of systolic and diastolic dysfunction. Students will also be introduced to the echo findings of congenital heart disease in the adult and child. An introduction to the newer applications of Echocardiography will include: Transesophageal Echo, stress echo, vascular ultrasound, contrast echocardiography use and 3 D echocardiography.
