This course provides an overview of cartography, spatial data structures, sources of data used in GIS, and analysis of spatial data. Students will gain an understanding of uses and applications of GIS. The course also provides students with a working knowledge of ESRI's ArcMap sortware. Classes will consist of lectures and computer exercises. Prerequisite(s): ENG 080; ENG 090; MAT 050.
