This course provides a general introduction to the delivery of behavioral health care services to children with behavior problems in the home and community setting. Emphasis is placed on principals of behavior, behavior management techniques, instruction methods, utilizing community resources and working as part of a treatment team. Note: The Department of Behavioral and Developmental Services (BDS) recognizes this course as meeting one out of the four requirements for the Family Support Professional/Habilitation Specialist Certification. This course is also recognized by Region I, II, and III Respite Provider as meeting one of the five requirements for Respite Worker Certification. Prerequisite: BHS 101 with grade of "C" or better or department approval.
