This course emphasizes electrocardiogram (EKG) arrhythmia recognition in the health care setting. Review of the cardiac conduction system and its relation to mechanical events in the cardiac cycle will provide the basis for understanding interpretation of cardiac rhythm strips and 12 lead electrocardiograms. Additionally, the utilization of ambulatory EKG monitoring and exercise testing will be discussed. Prerequisite(s): BIO 132; BIO 133
