This course familiarizes students with basic concepts and techniques used in the fisheries field. In addition to an overview of ichthyology, emphasis is placed on taxonomy, biology and life histories of selected species, research methods, management strategies and harvesting procedures. Prerequisite(s): BIO 111 or BIO 124 and BIO 125.
