This course will introduce the student to the professional world of Interior Design. A brief History of Interior Design through out the years to the practical contemporary practice that it has become today will be taught. We will touch on various aspects of interior design: space planning, color theory, (ADA), furnishings, materials, lighting, computer application, continuing education and the certification process. This course is based on Commercial Interior Design, with a strong emphasis on concept and theory. There will be a series of projects which will include researching and self exploration.
