This course is designed to acquaint the student with the Rules of Evidence. The purpose of these rules is to determine the admissibility of evidence during the criminal trial process and the legal challenges available to the opposing side. It also covers the legal requirements for a wide range of evidence, i.e.: real and circumstantial; best evidence rule; privileged communication; the Hearsay Rule; etc. Prerequisite: CJ 111; CJ 124
