The general principles of drug action, methods of administration, metabolism, excretion and clinical application will be presented. Bronchoactive drug groups seen in the practice of respiratory therapy will be emphasized. Also discussed will be several drug categories (cardiovascular medications, antibiotics, neuromuscular blockers, anticoagulants and diuretics) not used directly by the respiratory care practitioner. Prerequisite(s): AHS 136; BIO 132; BIO 133; CHM 102; RT 105.
