This course is an examination of automotive heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, with a focus on identification of malfunctioning parts and the repair of these systems. Students will diagnose unusual operating noises in the A/C system and system conditions that cause the protection devises to interrupt system operation and determine necessary action. Students will diagnose temperature control problems and failures in the electrical controls of heating, ventilation, and HVAC systems and determine necessary action. This course includes two hours of lecture and two hours of lab. Prerequisite: AUT 101
