LEC + LAB 3 Credits 3 Periods Overview of cable systems that trace the signal from a source to customers' premises. Procedures and methods for performing aerial /underground drops and interior/exterior dwelling installations. Instruction related to: safety procedures, proper tool usage, installation techniques, signal level meter, signal level calculations, signal leakage, powering, splicing, amplifier distribution theory, and CATV troubleshooting. Prerequisites: None. TLT101 suggested but not required for students with no prior telecommunications experience.
