L+L 4 Credits 6 Periods Comprehensive, theoretical, and practical approach to learning the technologies and protocols needed to design and implement a converged switched network. Learn about the hierarchical network design model and how to select devices for each layer. Configure a switch for basic functionality and implement Virtual Local Area Networks (VLAN), VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP), and Inter-VLAN routing in a converged network. Implementation of Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) in a converged network and a Wireless LAN (WLAN) in a small to medium network. Comprehensive hands-on labs. Preparation for Cisco certification examination. Prerequisites: CNT140AA or permission of Instructor.
