This course covers Native American history from European arrival through the 20th century. The course considers Indian political, social, legal and economic continuity and change. It also considers ways in which Indian people have experienced and responded to times of dramatic change. This course meets the Global Diversity requirement at NWCCD but does not meet UW's Human Culture requirement.
