This course involves an explanation of ethical issues as they relate to business and general law. Topics include the legal system in the United States, the function, organization, and work of the federal and state court systems, and criminal and civil law. Important areas of business law are covered including contracts, sales, and consumer protection. NOTES: For details of topics covered in the high school variable course please refer to appropriate Tech Prep College Credit agreement. This variable course is designed to allow students with Tech Prep College Credit for SAMG 1224 earned in high school, to complete the remaining course requirements at SCTC. This SCTC course (BUSM 1224) will be delivered concurrently with BUSM 1225. ( C: 3 lect/pres, 0 lab, -3 other)
