Safety when using the GTAW process and the handling of high pressure cylinders will be covered. The setup and operation of the equipment will be covered in the lab. Welding of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum will be covered in the lab along with the proper preparation and correct selection of electrodes. This welding process is one of the more demanding and requires good hand and eye coordination. Corequisite(s): WELD1546 (3 C: 0 lect/pres, 3 lab, 0 other)
