This course will enable students to understand various types of surgical procedures. Students will accomplish this by studying surgical anatomy, abnormalities, and the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative processes as they relate to each type of surgery. Students will relate the knowledge learned in previous theory courses to specific surgical procedures. The types of cases to be studied will include surgeries performed in Oral/Maxillofacial and Plastic/Reconstructive specialties. Prerequisite(s): SURG1442 (1 C: 1 lect/pres, 0 lab, 0 other)
