This is a general First Aid and CPR course. Topics covered in this course will include: how to recognize a situation needing emergency care, how to access the EMS system, and how to care for the victim until help arrives. Prevention, medical emergencies and injuries will be the major focus of the course. This course will cover first aid care and treatment of adults and children and will include CPR and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Emphasis is on pediatric first aid.
