This course will cover the fundamentals of photography to include the use and functions of a 35mm film camera and digital camera. Students will learn light metering, exposure controls and modes, depth of field, the purpose and creative use of various lenses, filters and flash. Students will learn and apply photographic design, with increased perceptual awareness to create works of film and digital imagery. Studio lighting and techniques are covered with an emphasis on creative product shots for advertising purposes. (3 C: 1 lect/pres, 2 lab, 0 other)
