This course is an introduction to real estate law. Topics of study include property rights, principles of land ownership, sale, contracts, liens, mortgage financing, mortgages or deeds of trust, deeds, recording, settlement concepts, condominiums and cooperatives, leasing and other property concepts. The student will be familiar with the processing of a real estate transaction from beginning through closing and post closing procedures. Prerequisite(s): ENGL1302 (3 C: 3 lect/pres, 0 lab, 0 other)
