Studies the techniques of oral interpretation as applied to group reading, involving the organization and preparation of reader's theater productions Stresses creative oral reading, calling forth mental images of characters enacting a scene that exists primarily in the minds of both readers and audience Emphasis is placed upon preparing and performing in productions with students being provided with the necessary theory, practice, and positive criticism to develop skills needed to be an effective channel of communication between the literature and the listener.
