This course applies the fundamentals of English grammar and the writing process to sentence and paragraph structures used in medical reporting, charting and documentation. It also provides a strong emphasis on the importance of clear written communication in relation to the new Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards. Prerequisite: BUS 1243. 3 lab hours. (3 credit hours/special course fee)
