This course is an introduction to social science concepts as applied to political analyses: analyses of individuals, groups and society, particularly the study of social, economic and political structures and behavior. This course also covers the introduction to the discipline of political science as a social science, including enduring questions about politics, nature of political analyses, major theoretical and empirical approaches and critiques of the discipline.
