This course is designed to enhance the understanding and appreciation of cinema as one of the major art forms of the 20th and 21st centuries. Students study various film techniques and terminology, as well as a variety of films. Students learn to observe films more closely and critically and become active participants in the film experience. Recommended prerequisite: ENGL 1311. (3 credit hours/special course fee)
