This is an intensive study of civil procedure and includes the study of federal and state rules. Emphasis is placed upon the functions and duties of the legal assistant in the litigation process, with special attention paid to the interviewing of clients, drafting of pleadings, writing of motions and discovery documents, and preparing and filing of other legal documents. Prerequisites: LGS 1103, LGS 1203, PLG 1103 and PLG 1302. Recommended corequisite: PLG 2803. (3 credit hours)
