An introduction to the elements and techniques of two-dimensional design, this course allows students to design projects using a variety of methods and materials. Areas of emphasis include elements and principles of design, such as surface, shape line, color and color theory, light, unity/variety, balance, depth, space, texture and meaning. 3 lecture hours, 3 lab hours.
