A comprehensive study of mechanical refrigeration systems emphasizing proper service techniques through analysis of problems is the focus of this course. Testing procedures, parts removal and installation are covered in depth. Includes a study of the computation of temperature pressure relation and related problems. Environmental impacts and safety are emphasized, including Environmental Protection Agency certification. 3 lecture hours, 3 lab hours. (4 credit hours/special course fee)
