This course provides an introduction to performing heat loss and gain calculations on a residential structure. Students learn the effect of products frequently used in the thermal envelope, how to manually calculate thermal loads created by conduction, infiltration and internal gains, as well as how to use a computer program to determine a Manual J load calculation.
