Credit Hours: 500 Continuation of CHM 235, focusing on the remaining classes of organic compounds, specifically dienes, alcohols, ethers and epoxides, aldehydes, ketones, acids, acid derivatives, aromatics, and nitrogen containing compounds and an introduction to biomolecules and/or polymers Includes an emphasis on synthesis and use of chemical and instrumental methods as means of identification while in a laboratory setting using a wide range of laboratory apparatus and procedures Integrates laboratory safety skills and computer software applications related to chemistry Prerequisite(s): Completion of CHM 235 with a grade of C or better Course Corequisites: Information: IN is the integrated version of the course with the lecture and lab taught simultaneously Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer
