The goal of this course is to provide an in-depth study of red wines from around the world. Focus is placed on the primary red wine grape varietals and gaining an understanding of how the major growing areas of the world create different wines from them. By the end of the course, students will be able to appreciate how diverse the scope of flavors can be from each grape varietal, and have a stronger grasp of the signature flavors from the major white wine growing areas of the world.
