Presents elementary statistical methods and concepts, including descriptive statistics, estimation, hypothesis testing, linear regression, and categorical data analysis. (Credit will not be awarded for both MTH 157 and MTH 240.) Lecture 3 hours per week. Prerequisites: MTH 4 (MTH 152 preferred), placement recommendation, or SAT score of at least 520 or ACT score of at least 22.
