Studies DC and AC circuits, basic electrical components, instruments, network theorems, and techniques used to predict, analyze, and measure electrical quantities. Concentration on the three main parameters of inductance, capacitance, and resistance as applied to electrical circuits. Teaches the use of test equipment and stresses safety. Practical troubleshooting and component identification skills are also emphasized. Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week.
