Prepares students to interpret 12 lead electrocardiograms and recognize acute myocardial injury as well as infarct imitators. Includes lead placement, collection of the 12 lead ECG, review of cardiac anatomy and physiology, electrical conduction through the heart, common dysrhythmias, pathophysiology of AMI and infarct imitators. Includes field treatment of the acute coronary syndrome. Lecture 3 hours per week.
