ETR 114 - DC and AC Fundamentals II

Institution:
Piedmont Virginia Community College
Subject:
Description:
Studies Dc and AC circuits, basic electrical components, instruments, network theorems, and techniques used to predict, analyze, and measure electrical quantities. Considers circuits requiring more advanced circuit analysis techniques such as branch current, mesh current, or node Voltage analysis. A more in-depth treatment of RL, RC, and resonant circuits is provided. Complex impedances are considered and simplified by using the j-operator. Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week. Prerequisite: ETR 113.
