Explores the fundamental laws, theories, and mathematical concepts of chemistry. Designed primarily for science and engineering majors. Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week. Prerequisites or co-requisites: MTH 163 + 164 or equivalent and successful completion of all necessary developmental English/reading courses are pre- or co-requisites for CHM 111. CHM 111 is a prerequisite for CHM 112. Co-requisites: CHM 111 lab for CHM 111 and CHM 112 lab for CHM 112.
