Introduces traditional approaches to and techniques of painting. Includes introduction to materials, color theory, and historical perspectives. For beginning painters who have strong fundamental drawing skills. Course may be repeated for a maximum of nine credits. Prerequisite: ART 131 or consent of instructor based upon demonstration in drawing. ART 115 and ART 116 recommended.
