3 class hours Covers the topics of statics, the study of stationary structures, and strength of materials, the study of stresses and deformations in a body which must support loads. The student will analyze trusses and frames by applying basic principles in algebra and trigonometry as well as determine the internal reactions, shear forces and bending moments of the members in a structure.
