Topics covered include roles and responsibilities of the EMS professional, medical terminology, self care, and initial stabilization and management of the patient. In the lab, students will learn how to perform a health history and physical examination, perform intravenous cannulation, and learn introductory pharmacology concepts. Prerequisite: Basic EMS licensure
