2 class hours, 2 lab hours Introduces the latest .NET framework technology to students who have no programming experience. The course includes the essential concepts for logic and design, including variables, input, assignment, output, conditions, loops, procedures, functions, arrays, and files. Introduces VB.NET syntax, with an emphasis on designing and developing graphical user interface, and event-driven programming with an emphasis on applied business solutions. Problem-solving skills and program documentation are also taught. Lab sessions reinforce learning. Previous familiarity with the Windows operating system is a plus.
