3 class hours Designed to focus on word attack skills, reading comprehension, critical reading and thinking skills, reading rate, and study skills to strengthen students' reading ability. Materials used will be textbooks, essays, novels, newspapers, and magazines. Skills are developed through individual work in the computer lab, class discussion and group work. Students are required to achieve a 73 or better to pass this course. Corequisite: ENG 012 Credit from this course is not applicable towards graduation.
